Bridging Continents Through Lithium

2026-07-14

Recently, Tianqi Lithium welcomed two international delegations to the Discovery Li Science Museum—a delegation of judges from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka participating in the South Asian Judges Training Program, and more than 50 students and faculty from 18 universities across 14 countries attending the 2026 Chengdu International Sister Cities Youth Summer Camp.

Although coming from different backgrounds, they shared one common goal: exploring how innovation, sustainability and international cooperation can shape the future of clean energy.

 From Minerals to Mobility

Through immersive exhibits and interactive experiences, visitors explored lithium's journey—from world-class mineral resources to its critical role in electric vehicles, energy storage and other clean energy applications. They also gained deeper insights into Tianqi Lithium's innovation across the lithium value chain and China's rapidly evolving lithium industry.

For the South Asian judges, the visit also served as a platform for discussions on the legal and regulatory frameworks that support cross-border cooperation in the energy and critical minerals sectors, highlighting the growing importance of international collaboration in advancing the global energy transition.

As part of the international summer school's "World Heritage & Scientific Exploration" program, students exchanged ideas with Tianqi Lithium's team on topics including energy transition, technological innovation and the circular economy.

These conversations encouraged participants to view clean energy challenges through a global lens while strengthening mutual understanding among the next generation of innovators and global citizens.

At Tianqi Lithium, we believe meaningful dialogue across cultures is essential for building a sustainable future. By opening our doors to international visitors and young talent, we hope to inspire greater collaboration, foster mutual understanding, and contribute to a cleaner, greener world.

Since opening, the Discovery Li Science Museum has welcomed more than 5,000 visitors, including international students, government representatives, business leaders and members of the public. As a platform for industry engagement, science education and international exchange, it continues to connect people through the power of lithium and a shared vision for sustainable development.
